Preliminary consultations are always free. You can call to make an appointment or just stop by our showroom. Appointments are recommended, as we may be with other customers or out visiting our current projects. We will be happy to discuss your project, offer suggestions, answer questions about materials, and explain our design & pricing process. Based on this preliminary discussion, we could give you a range of potential costs based on our past experiences with similar projects.
However, since we are a truly custom design and remodeling company, we won’t know how much your remodel is going to cost until we have you go through the process of approving a design and selecting all your materials. When done properly, this is a significant and time-consuming process. That is why we cannot give “free estimates”. After our preliminary consultation, you may choose to move forward with a formal consultation and planning. Our process is broken down into phases, which are outlined below.
Formal Consultation/Design Phase
- Based on our preliminary consultations and/or in-home visits, a design fee will be determined. Minimum design fees start at $500, and will increase depending on the number of rooms and size/complexity of the project. This fee covers the in-depth formal consultation and design phase.
- You will meet with your design specialist team both in the showroom and at your home. This is where you will discuss in more detail your design goals and inspirations. Detailed measurements of your space(s) will be taken to create a floor plan. Depending on the limitations of your space, one or more design options will be presented.
- As part of this phase, your design specialist will work with you to select materials (cabinets, plumbing hardware, flooring, backsplash tile, paint colors, etc).
- Once the new design and material selections are approved, we will price out the entire project (including materials and installation) and present you with a contract to complete your remodel.
- At this point, Phase 1 is complete, and you may choose to move on to Phase 2.
Phase 2
Remodeling Phase
- If you agree to the contract from the Formal Consultation/Design Phase and wish to move forward with your remodel, a deposit will be required in order to start ordering the materials (this is typically 50% of the contract total)
- Based on the material delivery dates (cabinets typically have the longest lead times), we will schedule your demolition and construction.
- We handle all aspects of the remodeling process, from permitting (if required) to scheduling & managing all of the required trades.
Phase 3
Design Phase 2 – Design Development
- We will continue to refine the design until you are 100% satisifed with the choices and layout.
- After the design is complete, we will create a construction contract for your project. A 50% deposit is required to move forward once you sign the document.
- Our team will then order all of your material for your project.
- Once material is ordered, we will provide an estimated timeline so you know when you can expect your project to begin.
Phase 4
Installation & Remodel Begins
- The delivered products will by our team to ensure everything matches exaclty what was ordered.
- Our team will handle coordination with the general contractor or remodeling teams.
- Our team reviews each phase of your project in person until completion to ensure even the smallest details are properly addressed.
